The college application process is extremely stressful, and it’s common to seek help from tutors and counselors for advice. However, from my personal experience, some of these services are often overpriced and time consuming; but that isn’t the case with ivypoint. After a couple of pricey, wasteful college essay writing sessions with a freelance tutor, I decided to contact ivypoint. Aditya was extremely helpful at connecting me with an editor at short notice, and the limited time did not compromise the quality of the editing at all.

Coming from a public school background, I didn't have the advantage of having a college admissions counselor available at my school. My parents were not ready to fork over a bunch of money to hire one either. I needed to find something affordable and reputable. After my google search, I found ivypoint Prep and used them this week. The schools I'm applying to are mostly on the east coast but I'm applying to a few elite southern schools (Rice, Vanderbilt etc). These guys had admissions experience with every single one of the schools I'm applying to this fall. My editor basically dissected each part of my essay until every line was perfect. A great service w/ students who really know their stuff.

I used ivypoint for my SATII math exam and general SAT prep and was impressed by the quality of service. My tutor explained things easily and most importantly I felt prepared when the exams finally rolled around.

Overall, a great tutoring experience compared to other services. I've had problems with the bigger exam prep companies due to high costs and terrible classroom sizes and other private tutors have charged up to $90/hr.

I've used ivypoint tutors on several occasions for assistance with my daughter's AP exam preparation as well as for assistance with general classes (including Honors Chemistry and Algebra).

The tutors we were provided were excellent. All of them are undergraduates at Georgetown and obviously have prior tutoring experience. My daughter saw a marked improvement in grades after a few sessions with David (the tutor we were assigned for Chemistry) and also took far less time to do homework after getting down the concepts.

One thing to note: don't expect the company to get back to you during the day. Because the company is student managed, calls are only returned at night, so make sure you don't provide your work number or number that you don't have access to at night. This was a small inconvenience for great service!

My child recently used ivypoint Prep's "Creator" package to help him come up with ideas for the Common App prompt. He was very worried about coming up with an essay that was unique and not run-of-the-mill.
